I submit!

Ok.  There it is then.  Two weeks later than I had hoped/anticipated/prayed for:  the first draft is away and I can move onto other things until my supervisor tells me otherwise.

Having written many assignments before, for some reason I still hadn’t worked out that the final read-through and amendments take up so much time.  To be honest, this past week it has been difficult to keep going as it reached the stage where I just wanted it to be over.  But, having rounded the original drafts out and focused the arguments a bit more, I reckon it is a start in the right direction.

Now I need to write up some of the literature research and make a start on the interviews.  I am looking forward to this as it feels very much like a step into the unknown and I enjoy the challenge.  The Federation of Small Businesses promise to forward my request for interviewees hasn’t materialised, so I’ll have to do it the hard way.

I haven’t heard back from my paper submission yet… I hadn’t really reckoned to quite yet, but I thought I would mention it.  However, I really should make some effort to put together the proposal for the next one so that I can keep my submission portfolio current… my target of four papers a year is slipping fast!
