Ok, I have finished the methodology and the introduction – well, finished in that I am relatively happy with what has been written so far. I have a few references to complete and some to update, otherwise it is pretty much done (fingers crossed).
Actually, I am feeling quite upbeat about where I am at the moment… I have most of the searches for the systematic lit review completed (although they may require a bit of tweaking), so I am hoping it will be relatively easy to write the remainder of the chapter. I have to adapt the methodology to reflect the fact that I am not necessarily looking to synthesize evidence, merely to find a systematic method in which to find all the applicable literature thus reducing bias from my own views. This, of course, needs to be written up carefully, but I have a good idea of where I want to go with it.
I have started on the second analysis but can’t go much further until I get more data. I need to complete the transcriptions and book in the next set of interviews – I will probably wait until I have seen my sup before doing this as he may want some input on the interview direction. I will be seeing him at the end of November, so I want to be well prepared by then.
Sadly real-life intrudes on research and my daughter has gone away on a foreign exchange, so this week may not be my most productive. You never know though!
