So, today was quite an important day as I wrote the first words of the thesis. Yes, I know I have already done loads of work in preparation, but this seems important as it is almost the culmination of the hard work. Of course, they are just words… pretty poor words too, if I am being honest… the chances of them remaining as is to the end are pretty slim… but it is a start. A start has been made. Another 49,000 and I’ll be home and dry!
What else? Ah yes, the power of stereotypes! I placed a request (an advert, I suppose) on ukbusinessforums.co.uk, asking for 15 people to interview about their learning experiences in business. I suggested they might want to share their ’stories’ of success with a wider audience and said I would travel to them at times that were convenient. And the response from the entrepreneurial leaders of tomorrow? Absolutely stereotypically selfishly crass…”what is in it for me?” was the very first reply. Hehe. You’ve got to smile!
